Googlefication

Google is gradually taking over my browser. At work we have switched our mail/calendar handling to Google which has encouraged me to look at what else Google has to offer.

Bloglines was starting to annoy me, so I have switched to Google Reader for reading blogs. Andrew put me on to using Google Notebook for online research and the Google Browser Sync extension for keeping Firefox the same on all my computers.

I now have my homepage set to Google’s personalised homepage filled with Google Gadgets that show me my gmail inbox, Google Reader feeds and loads of other stuff.

I have also started using Remember The Milk to manage my task lists (this also has a Gadget you can drop onto your Google Homepage).

All this stuff is also accessible from my mobile phone. I’m totally Web 2.0.
