I finally got around to getting the Egypt photos developed and up in the gallery.
There are still some more photos to come from another roll which I haven’t finished yet. That’s one of the reasons I like my digital camera; you don’t have to pay/wait for processing and you don’t have to worry about using up the last ten shots on a roll of film. Still, it can be fun to get a roll back from Snappy Snaps expecting to see pictures from Christmas only to get a few bonus shots from last Summer’s trip to wherever.
The more observant amongst you will have also noticed the new layout of the website. I like to have a complete change every so often, and would like to think the site is evolving to a higher state with each iteration. Actually, although the site looks significantly different, the whole process was significantly easier than it has been in the past, thanks to the use of CSS. The site has been getting more and more standards compliant and I have pretty much separated content from style. I have practically eliminated tables from the whole site (except for the galleries, because I don’t feel like rewriting the classes that generate them just now). Suprisingly, it was easy to get the pages to render properly in Mozilla, but IE required serious mucking about…
I promise to post the details of our trip to Egypt Real Soon Now. Enjoy the photos and as always let me know if you want me to mail any high-res ones to you.
